MAP & DIRECTIONS
 From US321S and I-40:
If you're on I-40, take Exit 123 North on US 321 (circled 1 on map)
Go to the second traffic light, about 1-1/2 miles. There will be a McDonald's on the right; turn left at this light (circled 2 on map)
This is 2nd Ave NW, follow it past where it changes from 4 lanes to 2 lanes (circled 3 on map); you will see the main runway of the Hickory airport on your right. Continue on this road, it will circle around the end of the runway (circled 4 on map)and continue about a mile until it ends at a "T" intersection (circled 5 on map). Turn left onto Airport-Rhodhiss Rd and continue for about 1.5 miles, until you see two log houses on your right. The road crests a blind rise just past the houses (circled 6 on map), and the next street to the left is Old Dragstrip St. When you turn on this street, you will see the gate, flag pole and sign for Bob Wilson Memorial Field. If the gate is open, somebody is flying.
From US321N:
You will cross Catawba River and a R-R track; go through the light and continue about .5 mile to the next light. Turn right onto Clement Blvd. NW (Pizza Hut on the corner). Follow this 4 lane street past the ball park, it will drop to 2 lanes; continue past the Hickory Airport tower, around the end of the runway, past Winkler's Grove Baptist Church. You will travel 3.9 miles and turn left onto Old Dragstrip St. The Bob Wilson Memorial Field will be directly in front of you.
